Id just get the CAI and forget the throttle body spacer, unless you need a nice paper weight!

I'm sure everyone has a different opinion, but I went with a Volant and the powercore element. Based on all the threads, I think either the S&B or Volant would be the best choice. I liked the powercore since it's good for 100K and no messing around with oils. just my $0.02.

A friend of mine put a TB spacer on and he says he can definitely feel better throttle response since the TB spacer. As I understand it is supposed to help atomize the fuel and the additional O2 from the CAI would effectively improve power and fuel economy. He already had the CAI and both fit fine.

Ever heard of the stoichiometric ratio?

Be careful which throttle body spacer you get because you might get an unwanted whistle with it. I had one on my 05 F150 and upon hard acceleration there was a noticeable whistle. I would just stick with the CAI.

I have a Poweraid throttle body spacer on my truck. And yes it does make a whistle. But if you have the radio at a STOCK NUMBER 10 w/out the speed sensor...you can't hear it. But you wont get anything out of it unless you are above 2k on the Tach. Or at least when I travel I've knotice about from 2,300-2,500 is where I start to get the better gas milage.

I'm sure it also makes a difference if you have a 4.6 or 5.4.

All I have to say is that if you dont get an aftermarket exhaust you won't see any significant changes. Think about it you are allowing to "BREATHE" but what about "EXHALE?"

I had one on a previous vehicle with intake and exhaust and saw no improvements in mpg or power. And that whistle is annoying.

Like was said before. It made a good paperweight. I took it off after a while.

You can get a decent TBS

Folks, I know there skeptical and harsh opinions, but I received noticeable gains, 2 mpg's. Street Performance Customs has a non-whistling version, and Jet Performance's is not bad. Stay away from Airaid's though, bad ju ju.

Quick Reply: throttle body spacer.
