It should make it, I'm assuming it's not a power stroke so little juice will be needed.

I drove 40 miles to work in my Powerstroke 7.3 with no alternator, 7 year old batteries, and -20F with my headlights lights on, and I made it just fine.

You will need power to keep the fuel shutoff valve from closing. Just don't run anything (radio, heaters etc)

Luckily the IDI 7.3 requires alot less juice then the 7.3 power stroke. As long as you don't run anything, you'll make it just fine

yes i made it fine and for the past month i have been chasing electrical problems. found out it was not the alternator. but the positive wire from the alternator to the starter solionid. so ididot at uhaul used a crimpconnector for a 16 gague wire. well i dident find this out untill yesterday when the truck caught fire. minor electrical fire no damaged just melted insulation. i have the parts i need to replace on order and will have the truck back up and running for this weekend when it will be pressed in to service hauiling more crap to a trade show. i hope for the best.
