Courtesy Ligths

I have installed two 6 bulb l.e.d. ligths in the upper part of my running boards directly under the driver and passenger doors, this is a 2006 f150 super cab there are no buttons in the door frame to work the inside ligths. this truck does have a dim down mode. I would like to find the best point to tie these ligths in so that they will work then the doors open?????????

I would post this question in the correct year f150 section of the forum. You will get a lot more people to respond and probably get at least 3 different ways to hook them up.
