superchips max tuner

this seems like a good deal, for 402 dollars. it says it doubles as a scan tool to read trouble codes, who uses this product and what do you think of it

i use it, but can save you about 60 bucks on the same thing lol.i like mine, but will probably upgrade to a chip in a couple months when lawn business picks up. but any way, a superchip is very good for a reasonable tune for a work horse, and the scanner is worth it alone.

how can you save me about $60 on one? but thats kinda what i was thinking as well. the scanner would be worth the cost of the tuner. i dont plan on injectors or anything like that just maby dp, exaust and intake, along with some type of tuner or chip

That's what I'm running. I never take it off the high perf tune now that I've got the Pyro and boost guage. I agree that the code reader is worth a lot. I did a 6500mile trip in September on the top tune puilling a trailer the whole way and much of that between 75 and 80 mph (some a little faster ). Never got over 1200 degrees on the exhaust.

I use the Supercips too and I like it. What kind of mileage do you guys with 3.55s get with yours on the different tunes? I haven't calculated it for the top two tunes because I use the lowest tune as it is stated to be the economy tune.

Ya I am planning on it but right now I am going to school so I don't have too much disposable income. All the fun stuff is gonna have to wait till the summer when I go work for my uncle in Alberta on the rigs.

Talking Ive had both

Hey guys I have just installed the 80 horse chip that plugs into the ecu in the front left quarter panel after having my tuner and i have to say that the tuner blows alot of smoke but isnt as fast as the 80 horse plug in. Now i do have to say that when you put the super chips max tuner on the Super Dutys like 99-first three months of 03 it will make them run like a "spotted a** ape" pardon my french cuz i did it to my grandads truck and good gondy it was amazin. NE way to answer your question yes the tuner is worth its weight in gold for diagnostics not so much on the power end compared to the little gold plug in chip i put in my truck though.
