Slips (I'd have preferred 4.10, but you had to get the 302 and drop the fr. ltd. slip to get this), dual front shocks, manual transfer case and every other option I could pack in it. It was my first new vehicle and it's now got a whole 25,000 km (15,500 miles). Still have my all the paperwork including the window sticker.

I didn't plan it this way, its just that I'm just a little better at accumulating things than selling them and I've always had more than one vehicle to drive at the same time. I've got 3 other trucks to drive now.

Every now and then someone will see it sitting in my driveway and ask if its for sale, which I sometimes consider but then I realize I really couldn't stand the thought of seeing it driving around in a couple of years maybe all beat-up (I'm weird that way).

I do plan on putting a 4" Pro-Comp lift, Bilstein 5100's and some BFG 33 x 12.50s All-Terrains on it (I've had the kit sitting around for 3 years now), and maybe doing some engine upgrades. Nothing drastic.

Anyway, sorry for the semi-thread hijack, I just came across this post and thought I'd "brag" a little...............
Thought I would add to this. I have A 92 ext. Cab w/351 electric red silver bottom had 9" lift w/ 40s mikes. 4:56 gears headers ss duels. Bought truck brand new 70000 mile. Now it has 6" lift w/ 35. Shift on fly4x4 but manual hubs.

Flaresides are more common than Fleetsides here in Homer Alaska. There's got to be at least 30 of them and 4 of them are painted black like mine.

1995 F-150 Flareside Purchase

I'm thinking about purchasing a 1995 F150 Flareside regular cab 4x4. It has a 5.0 and a standard transmission. He is asking $4200.00 it looks ok, I haven't driven it yet. What do you guys think? How hard is it to swap to a automatic trans?

Trading in an old Friend

After reading all these posts on Flaresides I starting to have regrets I’m going to be trading mine in on next week a SuperDuty. What do you think are fare trade in value is for 1994 F150 XLT Lariat (born November 19, 1993) with 154k miles. It is an extended cab, 5.8l EFI (351) V8, auto transmission, 4X4, flare side, every option Ford offered with the exception of a auto dim rear view mirror Not altered in any way except addition of a hard tonneau cover. I'm the original owner with the window sticker and it has only been repaired by the Ford dealer. it's been my every day vehicle for 21 years. The clear coat is failing but the body is in excellent condition with only two chips on the hood. The chrome bumpers and original wheels are in great condition. Even the exhaust system, muffler, interior, radiator, and AC compressor are all original.

They may not give you much cause to them it's still a f-150. Maybe 4k.
I know mine wanted my Red one for less than what I paid. I think it was about 3200.

If you enjoy the truck, just set her on the back burner. And have yourself a rainy day project.

1992 Flareside

I have a 92 Ford Flareside in great condition (California truck) that I am thinking about selling. It is a regular cab, 6cyl. Would this be considered a classic? I hear that they are fairly rare.

To be honest seeing a centurion is a lot rarer than a flareside.
Flareside to fleet side ratio is something like 10 to 1.
6 cyl 2x4 was fairly common.
Now, a 351 reg cab, 4x4. A little harder to find
