Not sure if driveshaft has to be cut, mine was already in my 76 when I got it. I got a extra 4.10 D-60 hp with calipers if anyone is looking.
how much do you want for your 4.10 D-60 hp with calipers

Its been two+ years now. Your best bet is to send him a private message or an email thru the link when you click on his name.

I would also suggest looking in the classifieds here, on craigslist, and on ebay as well. Other 4x4 websites are another good source for them as well.

axles

Thats what i ended up doing. i posted a wanted item on craiglist and been searching ebay. I recently bought a 1978 ford bronco and just love it to death. the money im getting back from my taxes is going to help fund my project but anyway i have 460 bored 30 over with cj heads im putting in it and i was going to put a D60 high pinion front axle with a GM 14 bolt 4.56 gears in the rear then realized i didnt want any gm parts on it so i changed my mind to a Ford D70 rear axle. I have never really done anything with axles before just messed around fixn motors so i was/am unsure about how hard this will be will any D60 front axle fit on my bronco or do i need a ford 77.5 to 79 F350 axle? and same with the ford D70 rear axle?
Thanks

Find 8 lug outers from a Dana 44, run those instead of the 60 for now. Your bronco is coil sprung, the 60 is leaf sprung. The 60 is not a bolt in swap except for leaf sprung 77.5-79 F250s, and will work with some work on the 73-77.5 highboys.

axles

so what does it take to do an axle swap D60 in front and D70 in rear on a 78 bronco?

A D70 in the rear is fairly straight forward, all you need are the ubolts and plates from the truck the axle came from, bolt it all up. The front is another can of worms. Either you have to make that 60 fit your factory radius arms, or add leaf springs to the front end. Either way I suggest you search the offroad forums, also full size bronco(one word) dot com is a great resource for what you want to know as well.
