OT? Where do you go to get good and cheap winch solenoids?

As the title suggests I am looking to replace all four solenoids on my winch. The cheapest I have found them is just over $19 on fleebay. Then comes just about every other retailer at right over $20. Is this the price to pay? Somebody must have them for around $15. (All prices shipped to my door.)

Are all solenoids created equal? The winch is a Beaver 12k with a 2.1 hp motor. It says it draws 70 amps at no load and 350-475 at max load.

Thanks for your help and I hope this isn't too off topic. I don't know where else to post it!?!

Relays used on wenches are continuous duty relays. They are not the same as intermittent duty relays used on starting systems. For this reason they are more expensive. The $7 buck relay is probably an intermittent duty relay.

The difference is in the coil. The continuous duty coil has more resistance in the winding to keep it from overheating. It has a little less "pull in" power, but enough to close the relay contacts. The intermittent duty relay will overheat if used in a continuous duty application. jd
