I haven't been on for a while. Sorry to hear about you Mum Joe. Its great you got to spend the time together. Its even better what you did for her and her husband. My son will probably stick me in a closet under a pile of shoes when I'm gone. It sounds like you are working your way to becoming the new 6 million dollar man. Let us know if you go into crime fighting. Its gotta be tuff going thru metal detectors. Or do you carry your X-rays with you at all time?

I got home Friday from the hospital and 7 day rehab. I'm not skipping and jumping around yet but I am some what mobile. I still have a few things to clear up with my mom's estate stuff and some physical therapy, then I'll be able to jump back in the chapter and maybe even start posting back up in the Frivolous thread. I actually, sorta, kinda miss you guys. Thanks again glruff(George) for being on top of the August get together.
It's great to see some of the chapter members posting up and interacting with one another. The whole benefit of chapter membership is getting to know others and make new friends off line.

*I hope none of them parts came from autozone...
My condolences. I have always said these couple of months are always the darkest....
Glad you came out the surgery ok! I bet you were testin' out your new hardware, chasing them nurses.
Remember to step back once in a while and enjoy a lil spring weather. You know PA makes the best!

I told the doctor I had some old ball joints and tie rod ends left over from some old project and he could use them if he wanted to save a little on the cost of the mods. He insisted on using new parts.
You would think with all the cool tools they have they would be more willing to utilize left over stuff and build not buy. Just think, a re-furbished ball joint and socket stamped with the Ford logo and built Ford tough.

Hey Joe, I think you'll like the new hip. I had one 13 years ago, (brutal operation back then) at the ripe ol' age of 42 and it's feeling like I'll need a new one soon. 13 years aint too bad for a mechanic what with all the lifting, bending, and twisting and all. Sounds like you're in good spirits. Make sure to do all the therapy cause it really helps. Oh, and... Welcome Back !!!
