I did find a whole Bronco.
Question is,what is the earliest year of a tranny that can be used in your's?

 

Sed, what year is the Bronco, what kinda shape is it in, what is wrong with it and how much for it? I will check with Al when he gets home about years but I know he was talking about getting a parts bronco as we both need stuff

 

The Bronco is a '78.
Everything has been re-done except the motor,351.
The body is too far gone for the guy to bother with it.
he want's to sell it.I don't know exactly how much he want's for it.But that is easy to find out.
A body swap is all that need's to be done.
It might be too old for part's for you guy's though.

 

I will check with Al, he is not here right now. He did say I need a tranny for a 5.0L 4sp auto.......what is the interior like?

I'm thinking this Bronco is too old.
It would be a good purchase for someone who want's to do a body swap.
The guy did everything,even the wiring.

 

Once you know a price then Al can decide if he wants to come see it or not

Al says that it is not worth it for us to get one that old, wouldn't be much we could use. He says about 89 and up.

I checked the craiglist you posted Secret Agent, made some calls...just missed a whole bronco for $500, but talking with a guy about this http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/pts/6...63.html...just might go this route as I want to convert to standard eventually anyway.....I will let you know...

 

I havent followed this whole thread, but maybe what you might want to consider, is getting a half ton 4x4 with a 5 speed.

You could use damn near everything from the truck, with the exception of the box. You wouldnt get the tailgate for your bronco though.

What all does your bronco need besides a tranny?

 

The only other thing I need is a tailgate....the rest of the truck is in mint condition.......inside is immaculate. We really lucked out on it getting it for only $500.00......
