I sell 427 or 434 rotating assemblies for $1600 complete. And 496 kits starting at $4300. All this for an M engine. We have been doing these for several years now. Thanks!

he`s stating its a complete rotating asembly not the whole thing, and the 496 goes for 4300, which would be the biggest cid small block ive ever heard of... In the page I posted it comes advertised but for prices it says call...

You have to go to the M pages for this combo. Look under short blocks. Any short block is available as a complete engine. The spec for the 427 is a 4.17 stroke steel crank, H beam rods, forged pistons, moly rings and king bearings. This engine we have built for several years now and they make alot of average torque. Suprisingly more per cid than the 400m standard stroke. This is the kit that is $1600
The 485 to 496 is a 4.75 stroke crank H beam rods forged custom pistons. We really only sell these to guys that have to run stock engines in some bogging and truck pulling classes. They are not affordable for everyday thumpers since they have a billet crank. Also a 460 based engine could get you 557 for alot cheaper so we dont sell too many of these. Sorry though guys this isnt suppose to be a ad page but a forumn. Sorry if it seems that way! From Tim Barnett of Barnett High Performance

what options with the 427 do you have for pistons? is there one that you could get 58cc heads with 9.5ish:1 compression?

Tim,

I have looked at your motors in the past and your prices always seemed reasonable. I see where you post peak numbers for your engines, but do you have actual dyno numbers for the builds? I am more interested in a wide smooth powerband than I am peak power.

Thanks

We have dynoed almost all of our combos. That is where we get our numbers. Most of our engine have really good low and mid range power alot of average power since we are running smaller cams. The peak numbers arent as important to me as average power. It really depends on the application we are building for.
