Rain-X washer fluid vs. Freezing Rain

And the winner is . . . Rain-X. I put the Rain-X washer fluid in a couple of days before last night's and today's freezing rain. I had about 1/4" of ice on the windshield and the ice just blasted off with the scraper. I couldn't believe it. The side windows were a different story though. Years ago I treated my windows with Rain-X, but for some reason got away from it. I'm sold on their washer fluid.

I agree. The orange rain X stuff is awesome. I love it when the roads a wet and salty and the junk just beads up and rolls off the windshield.

Great stuff.

I use the yellow rainx -45 celcius and its great in the rain cold and everytime I squirt the suff on. the only thing ive found wrong with it is when its foggy and the windshield is cold it leaves a film only visable in the daylight.

I yelled at the service manager when they topped off my washer fluid, because I use the orange-X and they feel the need to fill it with the blue colored water whenever they touch my truck.

I forgot to top off before my last oil change, and they gave me the crappy stuff. I went to Denver where it was freezing for 4 straight days, and my fluid was frozen solid in the lines. I got a spray bottle and filled it with the Rain-X and had to pull off every few dozen miles because the splash back was so bad on the interstate. The lines opened up around the NM state line, and it finally worked again.
