I'm sure if its worth to get it going again, but if there are some salvagable parts from the engine it'll be worth it. There are a few of them that are pretty expensive and or hard to come by nowadays. Them scrap the truck. Iron prices are amazing right now.

If the alum under the hood is a melt down.
There was some big heat under that hood.
Then toss in the possible who knows amount of water.
Its a roll of the dice!

Tuck will only fetch 250 bucks salvage. Plow might be worth it though if the cylinders are not heated, and the pump is decent. Any pics?

Doesnt matter, seals are out of turbo, that kind of heat will distort shaft and just casue it to go out in 500 miles if it isnt already bad. Youll be looking at the shortblock, heads, and everything else in there is going to be toasted. If you can sell axles and such, itll work. If fire got to wheels, that will make them out of round too, and fatigued if they were aluminum. this isnt a rebuilder, this is a parts truck as you have described it. Too much time and money.

I would steer clear unless it super cheap. Most engine parts will just plain be unuseable. Injectors would probably be shot, valve seals, oil coolerseals if not the cooler itself, fire does alot of damage!

hmmm.. doesn't really look that bad. However, I wonder why he didn't take a picture of the engine compartment. That would have gave us a better look on the things that really matter.

I wouldn't pay more than scrap price for it what ever that may be. Might not even pay that much for it.
