Mark- I'd like to ask you a question. I just ordered an F-450 with the TorqShift (4x4 4.30LS); I will be carrying a slide-in camper with a dry weight of 3530 which means a wet weight of maybe 1000 more. I have been considering installing a Gear Venders over/under auxiliary trans, if after driving it, I think I need it.
I had a 1985 F-350 with a manual 4 speed and really needed a 2 1/2 and a 3 1/2. It would either scream or lug going up the mountains.
I'd love your thoughts on the over/under.
