Where Do You Keep Your Gun?

There are a few manufacturers that make a small lock box that will fit perfectly under our front drivers side seat. It comes with a metal cable to lock it to the vehicle. It is long enough to gain access to the lockbox while seated. The large box fits nicely. This is a good quality unit.

In Louisiana, your car/truck is an extension of your house. We can carry a gun anywhere in our truck we want. Even on the dashboard. I keep mine in the top pocket of my drivers door. Loaded. If there is a need to use it, I want to have it handy. Hope that never happens, but you never know these days.

pbr man has a pretty good idea. I'll have to remember that if I ever get one small enough to fit in there.
I keep one in the top pocket on the drivers door and another velcroed under the middle seat. I have to be careful though cuz I don't have a conceiled permit, so if I get pulled, they have to be plain sight, meaning I'll have to get them to the dash pretty quick. Haven't had any problems yet.

On my person. I always train with my gun starting on my person, why would I deviate from that? Training instincts are going to kick in with high adreneline loads, you don't want to reach where your gun isn't. Besides which I'm going to carry it when I get out of the vehicle, too, why transfer it back and forth.
Tactics aside, Unattended vehicles are a lousy place to store firearms. If you do keep it in your vehicle remove it when you remove yourself. Anything else leaves it too vulnerable to theft.

Back belt holster.
Baggy Hawaiian shirts, seems to not be uncomfortable when driving,, I plan to only ever pull it if I intend to fire it.
Almost had to in Cullpepper Va, but the Raider Nation fan fled.
Wife keeps her S&W .357 in her sling shoulder back pack ready to pull.
She has to retrieve her car in a parking garage in a difficult neighborhood.
