Can you buy a cat delete pipe ? I've tried asking several muffler shops in the area for a section of pipe and they refused , saying if your going to replace your cat they cant be involved even selling me the pipe.

 

Yeah, I bought an MBRP test pipe from DPPI for $85 inc. shipping...and then cut it up for the ball clamp connection so I could weld the needed length of pipe on when I went to install it. It's a ball clamp an some 3.5-4" pipe... an ez weld for a pro. Find someone to do it on the side. There are, unfortunately, laws that make useless fuel wasting parts required on our vehicles....don't blame the muffler man.

I run an ITP cat delete pipe and downpipe, both in T409 Stainless steel.

 

if you take your plates off and trailer your truck to a muffler shop and tell them its an offroad only truck or farm use only and isnt drivin on the roads they will make a pipe for you and install it

That's a lot of hassle just to get the cat out, up here in BC I just took my truck to the shop in the morning and picked it up at lunch with no muffler or cat. And it was only $92.

 

I agree just ask them for a pipe. Tell em its for a tractor or a drain pipe or a giant bong or something. Soon as you say truck its no deal.

I got mine from DPPI and it was cut to length, all I did was take the cat out for a walk and put the "Test" pipe in it's place. No strain no pain.
