1985 feedback help
I have a 1985 F150 which unfortunately has the feedback carb on it. And its running horrible(suprise). Its time for me to spend the money to get it running right before I get tired of it and sell it.
I need complete list of parts that I need to get this thing in shape. I'm not looking at rigging it up either. I want to get rid of the feedback system and go a different route with the carb and stuff.
Here is what I know prob needs to be done.
-new(offy/clifford) intake or older one that will get rid of egr and use better carb
-good carb thats easy to tune, tune it and leave it for a while is what I want
-in doing so I need a new ignition? duraspark2 easy to come by?
-I'll prob look for an efi exhaust manifold or get a header if I cannot find one
I dont want a hot rod, I'd like a little more power, but I figure a correctly running 300 will have way more power than the worn out feedback system. I dont do a lot of towing, just a light camper or car on a trailer now and then so anything over stock power is good. Do not really need a 4 barrel carb but do not see any 2 barrel intakes out there. Mainly I want a smooth running motor that can be my DD and not give me headaches.
Please help me get a list of stuff I need to get so I can start looking/pricing because I really dont know all of what I need to make this work, although I know it can be done fairly easily.

Everything you are asking has been asked and answered on this Forum and here http://fordsix.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2
You have a lot of reading to do. Make a plan, then work your plan to arrive at what you want to accomplish.
