TC lock, STALL, and my axle seal

well, i found out i did the TC lock right. imma hook it back up tomorrow. i talked to the tranny shop and they highly recommended it.

my stall is ~1800 rpms in first, 3000 in second. sometimes i launch in 2nd for the heck of it. i was able to check it accurately now that i dont have fluid on my brakes.

FINALLY i got my rear axle eal replaced. had trouble tracking down the right socket. my mechanic brother didnt have nothin that small. he said that this kinda floating rear axle was the same as on a semi. i learn something new every day. lol.

Locking the TC will cause the OD lamp to flash and store a code.

I dont know what above means.
But yes if you lock the TC the PCM will see it as a failure and flash the lamp.
The PCM did not lock it you did.

they said that the TC locks in three different stages. unlocked, partial lock, full lock. they said it prolly threw it cause it got hit while the tc wasnt fully locked, and confused the computer.

In a E4OD its locked or not. No in between.
The only time an E4OD can slip code is while its in 4th gear (OD).

4R100 has PWM for a soft lock. Has nothing to do with the E4OD.

pulse width modulation- it means it slides it into lock up. Kinda like slipping a clutch. But as stated nothing on the E4 is PWM and that is a good thing. Also On my truck I get no light or code using the lock up switch.

I wouldn't both with whatever shop has been feeding you info. They have NO idea what they are talking about!!
