trying to make a stronger 4.6

I'm trying to make the strongest 4.6 liter possible, what do i need to do??? its a 1997 f150 4.6 liter, 4x2, auto tranny, 3.55 gears

I think in 2000 they went to a 3.73 rear end, at least in the E150. I owned one of each, a '97 and a '00. The '00 was noticeably snappier off the line but did not get the unloaded 18+ mpg down the hiway that my '97 did.

If you really want to go for the gold, stroke that baby. 4.6 Mod motors are ideal for stroking because they have such a long rod ratio. You can take it out to just over 5.0 litres.

Then for the icing, put on a Gale Banks Powerpack exhaust system. Ooooh!
