Parts waiting

Is there a more anxious time in a project, than waiting for parts to arrive?

I had to put my '36 on hold due to $$, but sold a few things here and there and saved the coin for a set of rear coilovers, once they get here I can complete the chassis and have a roller in a weekends worth of work...I haven't put the Heidts frontend together yet because I still need to flip the frame for a bit of welding on the front boxing plates and the rear 4 bar supports...

Once the coil overs come in I can locate the rear X-member, flip the frame weld it up, flip it again and start looking at mounting the 5.0/AOD.

Aw well, the wait continues...what the heck, it took me 25 years to get started on it, what's a little longer?

Time to get busy, shocks came in today and I spent 1/2 the day looking for bushings for spacers I need to mount them, decided on 1inch bar stock and will drill to suit and also make some spacers/bushings to go inside the crossmember so it'll be more stable all bolted in.

Enough type, gotta go get busy, have to have pics of it all done by Sunday.

The fun never ends...I got the shocks in, crossmemebr fitted up (close) and was getting ready to set the pinion angle...dropped a wrench and broke my plastic angler finder...grrr...have to see if I can find a real one. I want to weld in the crossmemeber after the pinion angle is set, so the mount bolts are not tweaking on anything...I want them straight and true...to maximize the shock bushings life.

So close, but so far away.
