Welcome to FTE. Most members here run chips from DP tuners www.dptuner.com .I would not waste my money again on a programer . Programers are one size fits all were a chip is taylor made for your truck ,what you do with it and how you drive.

I would go with Dp. I think Jody can build you the best of both worlds.

I drive the truck daily. I don't want a race truck just more power and better fuel mileage. What does the dp tuner cost? My truck is completely stock now what else should I do?

the cost will be different depending on how many tunes you want;thry have a good breakdown on their website http://www.shop.dp-tuner.com

you should install guages pyrometer, boost, and trans temp
4" exhaust should be done with or without chip, the stock system is very restrictive
the stock intake isn't very good either
if you tow or go off road with or without chip I would recomend a trans cooler, not sure about 4x4 models but I found mine don't use a radiator cooler and a very small external cooler

See the above link, post #18. Kris has done a very specific write up on what, when and why to do some very basic mods. Sound advice when starting PMS. Barney

There's another option that DP can do for you -- if you just want more power & economy, you can have Jody flash your PCM with the 80 Econo or modified 80 Econo tune. It will give you about 100 more HP, much better shifting, and beter economy (it actually works!). Best I got stock was about 17 & change MPG. After running some long distances, I've been just shy of 19. So about 2 MPG better. Best thing you can do is call them and discuss what you want/need. Go to
http://www.dp-tuner.com

EDIT: Oh, and you probably want to think about a better intake, such as the 6637 (super easy & cheap intake mod!!), an exhaust (either a full 4" turbo-back system or simple muffler delete), and probably a set of gauges to make sure your engine is doing what it's supposed to and not exceeding extremes.

Even if you run DP tunes without the supporting mods to the truck, you'll increase the risk of doing some expensive damage to the truck.
Ford rated the engine HP for a reason. If you stray outside of the design without strengthening the design then something is likely to break.
For instance, if you run the chip at 80HP and tow something without gauges to let you know that the Exhaust gas temperature is getting too high, then you stand a very good chance of cracking a piston from getting overheated.
A 4" exhaust and an open air filter element will allow the engine to breath a lot better, and the EGT will come back down to managable levels with the chip.
There's more, you need to have a strong tranny cooler.
Not trying to discourage you from doing the mods, but more make you aware of the best way to do it and not end up with needing a AAA card on the side of the road 350 miles from home.

Then the 6637 is for you. You'll get plenty of whistle that way. You didn't mention whether or not you tow frequently/or with heavy loads. If you do, then you'll need some more stuff as Dan mentioned. However, if you just use it as a daily driver, you can get away without some of the mods required for frequent/heavy towing. Minimums are the intake, exhaust, and gauges as already mentioned before you start pushing it hard. Honestly, the 80E with some supporting mods will get you a quite different feeling truck. I'm not trying to steer you away from more stuff, but you opened this thread up with "I want more power and fuel mileage." -- if that's all you want, then I think that's what you'll get with the above suggestions.

There's DP-Tuner who is pretty good. Then there is DP-Tuner and some have even had good luck with DP-Tuner. Personally, I would choose DP-Tuner if it were me. Actually, I did and am very happy with the results.
