Ok, Got The Blue Monster In Shop, For Two Days They Cant Find The Prob. With My Elect 4x4. So Now They Have Ordered A Transfer Case Motor. What The Heck Is That ??? Previous Thread Said It Might Be The Soleniod. So Now I Am Confused!!!

 

The moter there referring to is an electric shift motor to engage the 4x4 front output shaft on my old explore if you didn't use it now & then it would rust up on the inside had to beat on it a few times to free it up I would hope that ford would have this figured out by now.the moter should be on the back side of transfer case.

 

It is as seasprite described it. I have had mine replaced also. Once they get it in it does not take no time to replace it.
