About the only thing your VIN is going to tell you is the engine it came with, the year, where it was made (maybe, I cant remember), body style, 2WD or 4WD and the truck series.

There is a digit missing by the way.

F3_MRA50067

I assume its a 5?

BTW, there are many Ford truck VIN decoders on the net. Or you can do a search for one of THOUSANDS of Mil1ion's posts where he tells you exactly how to do it.

[edit]
I took 3 seconds and did it for you. What you need to do is search for threads in this forum that involve finding your build sheet. ONce you find yours, assuming it still is there, and legible, that will tell you the dirty little secrets you want to know.

Your VIN number: F35MRA50067 <table style="border: 1px solid rgb(153, 0, 0);" align="center" width="600"><tbody><tr> <td colspan="2" style="padding-left: 55px;">Your Model Year is October 1975.</td> </tr> <tr><td colspan="2" bgcolor="#0099cc" height="1">
</td></tr> <tr> <td style="padding-left: 15px;" width="40%">Truck Series:</td> <td>F350 2 Wheel Drive</td> </tr> <tr><td colspan="2" bgcolor="#0099cc" height="1">
</td></tr> <tr> <td style="padding-left: 15px;">Engine:</td> <td>V8 - 390cid, 4BBL carb</td> </tr> <tr><td colspan="2" bgcolor="#0099cc" height="1">
</td></tr> <tr> <td style="padding-left: 15px;">Assembly on:</td> <td>San Jose, CA</td></tr></tbody></table>

Hasn't anyone figured out this dude wants us to do all the work for him? Just like he wants everyone to find him a 73-76 Super Camper Special with a 390 in California for under a grand?

Yo, Crappy Grammar Special - search the forums, find the vin decoder(s), check out the galleries, read the classifieds! Learn to do your own footwork before polluting the forum with rhetorical questions!

That's because they started building the new model year in the previous calendar year

1976 was first built in August 1975.

It was built until July 1976 then in August 1976.. the 1977's started to be built.

The NEW cars and trucks were always released to the public in September just as the kids went back to school.

Your VIN# is: F35MRA50067

I posted a link to MY Rating Plate decoder.

Do you even click the links people post ?

Sorry I am new here, am not sure if this is where i should be posting for this. I a have what i beleive to be a 1979 supercamper special f350 2 wheel drive 460 with a c6, 8900 gw. Does this sound correct for a supercamper special it does have the tire that is in a door behind the cab in the bed.

in 79 ford dropped the super in super camper special to avoid the confusion with supercabs. that being said , they are basically the same truck so welcome to the club! would love to see pictures and check out the thread posted above by 76spercamperspecial its full of pics and info on our special trucks
