I think there should be a sticker on your valve cover with the correct specs.

In 79 they put the decal on the underside of the hood.
I really need the calibration number because there are 16 possibles diagrams and specs
The valve cover usually had a white engine Ident sticker on it.
I would go with 10* BTDC at 600 rpm vacuum connected with engine at normal operating temp.
