08 Expedition EL - Front A/C Issue

Hello all. When I started the truck when leaving work yesterday the front a/c did not work. The dash controls are working, but the blower never engaged. The rear a/c works and blows cold.

Since it's only the front system is there a relay or something along those lines to the front blower motor that is known to give up the ghost? Figured something in that area would be a good starting point. I tried searching for similar issues but didn't have any luck.

Thanks.

Well last night I went with the very technical approach of pulling & replacing the two HVAC fuses and pushing on each of the harnesses leading into the units under the glove box and everything began working again.

Don't know if I got lucky, but only time will tell.

I just went through this with my wife's 11 Expedition EL. Turned out that replacing 10amp mini fuse in the interior fuse panel did the trick for me. She'd had the blower not work intermittently several times before it quit working altogether. It's working fine now. I hope that it holds.

I just bought a 08 el and the next day the blower was stuck on high and would not turn off when I turned off the ac. I could not control the fan speed at all. I replaced the blower motor resistor and it fixed the problem, with the help of some past forum members. A 70 dollar part, goes under dash on passenger side. FYI.

Well my victory was short lived. It quickly began working intermittently again, and has now stopped altogether. I guess I'm going to check the blower motor resistor. That seems to be the common failure point. Black Expedition with black leather. 106 was the official high here in Houston yesterday. I'm getting no love.
