long arm & air instead of leafs...

I have the body off the 79 frame... getting ready to clean it up, paint & re-seal the motor up...

Since I have to move the rearend forward 3 inches to match the 66 body, I was thinking how easy it would be to move the front spring mount further forward and fabricate long arms and bolt it to the spring perch on the rearend... make a panard bar & mounts... and airbag it...

your thoughts welcome...

saw,
Whynot just have new main leafs made. At a spring shop, they're easy to make, not very expensive. This way you can get whatever length you need and even get the eye reversed inorder to drop it lower w/ your air bags.

I am using a two link and center long bar suspension with Bilstien Coil overs in my Uni.

The shorter you keep the bars the better off the handling will be with torque loading an twist. Bags need all the help they can get in this area. Also use a good set of shocks for dampening. Bilstiens will be the best measured to fit.
