Missed getting a fantastic photo yesterday

Driving home from the grocery store with 30 mph winds and blowing snow, I missed getting the best work truck photo ever.

A 1977 F250 with a box full of firewood ......and get this ....

It was stacked uniformly 3 ft above the roof for the complete length and width of the box.

That truck wasn't sagging a bit.

An illegal load in these parts but quite impressive

Anything over the box height has to have a tarp.

That would have been a neat pic to see. That's a lot of firewood.

Wow, in Oregon, a stack of wood 3ft over the cab is not yet a load.
Half the stuff in my bed now is sticking above the box. The only thing that requires a tarp is loose material or trash.

Wish I had some of that stacked in my basement! I'm running low and it's a major pia cutting wood in 2 feet of snow. Damn impressive load that must have been.

It was probably a dense wood, too, like oak.............. Even more impressive.

my f350 hauls wood. lots of it. i'm yet to get the springs to sag. i could feel it on the last load of oak i did. these old trucks rule. i would rather drive this than the 08 ram my company provides( it rides like crap).

I looked all over town for this truck this afternoon hoping it still may be loaded.

Couldn't find it.

OK.....Dennis.......3' over the height of the BED?.......or over the height of the CAB?......3' above the level of the BED would bring it about to cab height........

But that's still impressive.......I bucked a load of hickory and red oak the other day and brought it back....Didn't split it, but the level was just a LITTLE bit above the bed level....It sagged just a little bit.....

That would be a cool pic to see though.....FIND IT, DAMMIT!!!....

3 ft over the height of the Cab.

It looked like Old Poplar to me

But we have so much construction around and trees being cleared it could be
Aspen,Poplar,Spruce

BTW, it was all split and tightly packed.

I'm going out again in the morning and may look some more.
