Anybody looking for a ZF-5 ?

I bought this 2WD S42 ZF-5speed last summer when I was looking at doing the swap in my truck. That was before I found out that you CAN'T just swap out a tailshaft housing (like on my old T-19) and convert it for use in a 4WD.

So anyone looking for a ZF-5? A mentioned before, it is an S42 model with the following gear ratios

1 -- 4.65
2 -- 2.60
3 -- 1.53
4 -- 1.00
5 -- .077
R -- 4.35

I also have a good model 1345 transfer case WITH the "push down" typoe shifter on it...

I am also looking for a pair of budd-wheel adapters and 3 budd wheels for the front of my dually (3rd wheel as a spare), so if anyone who's interested in this has those items, we can talk trade + a lesser amount of cash...

Do you know if it fits the gas engines or just the diesels? I have an 88 f150 4.9 that the synchros are bad. I've been looking for a replacement for it and yes, it is the ZF in it.

Unfortunately, no it won't fit. The bellhousings are different, and with the ZF the bellhousing and gearhousing are one piece...

Now if you wanted to pull the guts out of this one and put it in your case, that would probably work - but it would be a LOT of work...

Hey, that's cool - no shipping!

The mods don't like us quoting prices so I sent you an email (did you know your account here isn't configured to receive private messages?).

Anyway, prices I've seen quoted by others around here are over a grand, so I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the price I emailed you...
