Question and possible favor

I was wondering if anyone here lives near Steeleville---Illinois---62288? If so let me know. Here is what I have... I purchased from a guy a couple doors and front grill stuff a while back and a buddy of mine from the Mustang site I belong to agreed to pick them up and ship them to me as he is about 30 minutes from the guy. Now had he not agreed I would not have shelled out the cash for them. Well we are 6 months later and I have not heard from him in about a month.

So i figure it is time to see if someone here maybe lives near there and would like to make a little money picking them up, packing them and shipping them to me. I have no problems paying for you time. Or if someone here is passing through that area on the way to say Baltimore or somewhere within a couple hours drive and would want to haul them I would pay for that also.

This was one of the upay things were the guys would not ship at all but I needed to the parts badly. Still do.

let me know

Thanks.

If no one responds on this site you might want to contact "Ben D" on the Jalopy Journal/HAMB site. Ben goes back and forth across the country and will haul cars or parts. tandatransport@gmail.com

Talked to him a week or so back. He is not coming to the east coast any time soon.

Thanks

Shoot, I have to make a road trip out to the Albany NY area here in the next 2 weeks or so to pick up a truck bed.. I also have to make a trip to the Chicago area sometime before then.. I'm so close on it, but at the same time so far away.

St. Louis is pretty close, also...it's about 5 hours from me...sorry. 600 miles round trip. If it was a month &1/2 ago, I could have gotten them when I got my flathead...

Good luck - I'd try the MO chapter, if there is one, too. I've seen a lot of early Fords in St. Lou...

You can have the Chicago area! I hadnt been through there in almost twenty years. I came back through there from Iowa. We got off the highway and ended up in the Latin Kings territory. They were running down the streets in lowriders with 3"x4" Mexican flags out the windows playing mariachi music.
I told my brother anybody starts ***** were rolling like a train non-stop.
I had my old F250 with my F1 on a trailer.
I dont know what was going on, the street were redirected for some festival, they were walking pit bulls down the streets.
I dont plan on being around there anymore.
I try to stay south of Jolliet and west of Chicago on my trips.

That sounds a lot like East Los Angeles or the San Fernando Valley. I don't go there for the same reasons.

Couldn't get off a shot, huh?! I've got no use for people who keep vicious dogs to be "cool".

Hey now I have a pit. I rescuded her from the pound. She is sweet as can be and my Kids love her.

Dogs only do what they are taught. Dont teach them to be that way and they wont be. Remeber when it was the Rottweillers and the Dobermans? You almost never hear about them anymore.

Ah, the famous "running of the pit bulls"...a time-honored tradition.

Let's have a little tolerace, folks, for different cultures. Not all latinos are illegals, the US is truly a melting pot of cultures. Chinatown in San Francisco, the Irish communities in New York, the Native American's in Oklahoma, etc, etc. Not to mention the differences between the southerner's and northerners. The one thing we ALL have in common, on these forums, is Ford Trucks.

As for the pits, I for one will never trust one. My daughter had one, raised since birth, kind and gentle as could be until in attacked her son when they were both about 2 years old. Some breeds DO have an inbred disposition towards violence. Sad but true - her's was a very good dog, until it wasn't.

Roger, with 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 turtles, 8 cockatiels, 3 baby cockatiels (just hatched), two budgies, and a finch. ALL rescued, except one dog. And he's a southerner!! (bloodhound)
