group project truck
alright guys, i think that a chapter project truck would be totally sweet, and i found this truck . its pretty cheap, and it runs , all we'd need to do is get someone from another chapter pick it up for us then we would have to get it here, i think thats the hardest part, but if we all chipped in we could get this and have a chapter project truck! I know it might be a little out there but come on guys nothing like a project truck to inspire a chapter to get together more!
lets do it!!
lets do it!!

Details, Brian - details! Where is it, what is it? I don't know who else would be into it, but I am totally into it. NorCal has had one going for a while, I don't see why we couldn't do the same. We have some fantastic resources in our chapter. This could be just what we need to get the chapter cranking!

Hmmmmm.... An old retired city vehicle. So it's likely had all it's proper scheduled maintenance, and 100k is not terribly high mileage at all. Kentucky is a bit of a cruise from here, I'm sure we could get someone to secure the vehicle, but getting it out here might be another story. But, there is always an answer. Hopefully some of the other guys will post up with some thoughts. What say, guys?

i would be interested in helping out, a classic might be a little simpler as far as the laws are concerned, smog, registration, insurance.... but parts might be more $ so i am not sure but i would love to work on a nother truck. the other hard part would be coming up with a direction for the truck ie street, off road, show, resto, resto mod, strait mod......

Might be a lot of differing opinions on that, for sure. Also other little details such as where does it get parked, how much are we willing to spend and what do we do with it when it's done. You know, the minor stuff. I think we should look at it and see where the different ideas take us. Good topic for a meeting.
