I was throwing the P0304 code, which was #4 cylinder missfire, changed the plug, no change , changed the coil over plug no change. Everytime I lugged the engine over 3000 rpm I would get a bad missfire, the engine would shake and stutter then clear up, finally I changed the injector and it cleared right up. So I changed the rest and my idle seemed to clear up and truck is running like new. I paid 49 a coil from a NAPA store, they are remans, you bring your old ones back for a small core value. Hope this helps

I've been having the same problem now for about 1000 miles, 3 months, and I haven't had a light yet. I want to know who or if the thing can be plugged up to a diag. comp. or something that can tell me what is going on. Is there a good hand held out there to get for this (reading codes or pending codes)?

my truck doesnt throw a CEL, but it does not like hitting passing gear at 48-52mph~3000 rpms. The truck kinda misses till it gets till around 3700RPM then it runs fine. Its very strange, it will not do it when at lower the 48, and higher then 52mph, or wot from a dead dig. Father in law insists that its the EGR valve.

Update: Mine set the Check Engine Light and it stays on solid now. Code is P0300 and P0308 for random misfire and cylinder #8 misfire. I'm probably sending it to the dealer tomorrow cause I don't wnat to throw plugs, coils and injectors at the thing and still have the miss. Maybe it will be an injector covered by the extended warranty. Anyway, have you all had any luck fixing this problem yet?
