What is this under Turbo? (PIC)

Ya - it is difficult to persuade the company to spend any money right now (with the way the market is), especially on things that aren't absolutely necessary (guess that is a matter of opinion though).
But I did call Dale @ Tymar this afternoon to order a couple HPX! I ordered one for this truck and one for mine. Can't wait to get them in!

On my 95 PSD after my truck has been run and then restarted at 1800 to 2000 rpm I get a sucking noise from the turbo. When it totally warms up it goes away. Is this the EBPV and by leaving it open solve this. I'm thinking of switching to an intercooled turbo, which is the best?

The EBPV's purpose is to create a restiction in the exhuast to provide faster warm up times at cold start up. When it malfunctions it won't disengage when you hit the throttle rendering your truck gutless and noisey like a jet engine. Oil leaks from the actuator are also another issue with the setup. I live in michigan and my pervious 95 began to malfunction unplugged it and never missed it. Warm up time was slow before and after. I feel it makes no difference. These truck won't warm up sitting in a driveway no matter what you do. High idle settings will help. My current truck came with entire setup removed which would have been done shortly after anyway!
