Hi guys.

I just joined and am trying to help a friend get some general information on a 534 Seamaster marine engine. It would be more than I could hope for to get any information on the marine version but we can hope. Otherwise info on the truck engine would be helpful. I worked on these engines as a mechanic in a Ford dealer in the mid 60's but I don't have any info on them.

The kinds of things like horsepower and maximum rpm would help as well as what it weights. It may go into a 1927 triple cockpit classic runabout that is being restored. The original engine is a huge 6 cylinder and is not repairable.

Any help or leads to information will be greatly appreciated.

Check the post, "534 vs Everyone else." I think there was mention of Seamaster there. You might also check posts by "admiralturbo" I believe he has discussed that engine a few times. Hope you find something, I'm sure that motor has been talked about in this forum before.

I looked at his posts and found some useful informaton. One thing I haven't found yet is what it weights, either the truck version or hopefully the Seamaster version.

I don't know specifically but weight of the truck version is usually said to be about 1,000 lb. Add for the turbocharger, plumbing, and marine exhaust manifolds. Pretty heavy.
