Went car shopping today

Had to drive my buddy around to look at cars today since his took a dump on him last night...

We were at the ford dealership and the sales guy happened to mention he went to the auto show this weekend. So I jumped on him.....

"Did they release the numbers for the new f-150's?"

"NO", but he "said" he took one of the guys aside and talked to him, and from that he was saying about 325 hp.

I don't know if anybody else heard anything, sorry for starting another thread.... but i wasn't about to read through 20 pages of way off topic stuff.

So has anybody heard? And when are they going to release them now?

The salesman is FOS. No Ford person at the auto show is going tell some schmuck salesman (who he doesn't know and is just another face in the crowd of thousands) the HP numbers, especially when they won't even hint it to legit press.

Ah, I know 315 and 325 is a rumor and like Ken said in an earlier thread, Ford said they won't disappoint us. If 325 was the number, I'm pretty sure a lot of people would be disappointed. For Ford to jump back into the game they need at LEAST 350 hp (bare minimum) and class leading TORQUE at the lowest RPM. That shouldn't be TOO much to ask, right?

Imagine an Elvis impersonator..."Thank you...thank you very much"!!!

By the way...Motor Trend...that bastion of fine journalism...reports 310 HP.

OoOo i met one that took the f'en cake yesterday...

We started driving a car, and i looked up at the dash and said the check engine light was on to my buddy.... I heard some of the best excuses for that light being on.....

Then my buddy hadn't realized that that SAME car didn't have a sunroof (the other two he was looking at did) so I metioned it, and then the guy proceeded to give me, a 5 minute speach about how the more options you have, the more things to break.

I wanted to choke the crap outta the kid by the time we got back to the dealership....
