That is an awesome truck. I love that 300" wheel base and the chance to tailgate some yuppie driving a prius especially driving in the passing lane and not passing no one.

I would assume so. Although I personally don't like the idea people do it all the time (some the "right" way and many not).
If I were to be into an extended cab grafter onto the back of the crew cab idea I'd definitely be for your way of keeping the frame and shortening the bed.

cant find parts

So I have the 1979 f250, and my truck has the common Indiana rust spots on it. I need new rear cab corners front amd rear rocker panles and front floor pans and maybe rear but I can't find the rear at all not even though Lmc and I only need the drivers side rear floor pan. Am I going to have to fab one out myself or dose anybody know where I can find them but I've had the rest of the truck apart b/c I am doing a gram off restoration and getting rid of all rust on the truck and since the jackass owner befor me pulled out the motor with matching numbers im just dropping a 12 valve cummings in with with the 5 speed behind it

I don't think the rear floor pans are available anywhere but then again I haven't spent a bunch of time searching.

Try Dennis Carpenter, he might make them. Its worth a shot and if he does have them I know they wont be cheap

could be a start, the drivetrain is going into another truck, the frame that has the paperwork has a rusted cab on it ...but I am including a workable cab to replace that...if someone were to have a std. cab 4wd and wanted a crew it is a viable option, or if someone has a 2wd and wants a 4wd crew is another option..+ is that it has the wider frame for the fuel tank issue and a 78/79 f250 pwr. steering set up provisions are already in place..vs. the dilemna that I am experiencing w/ my 77 4wd crew build, but that is the price you pay if you want the divorced transfer case and a long bed crew

Engine trans and transfer case are not an issue. Will this have axles under it? Also what year title is it?
