I want to convert my 1975 CrewCab to a manual transmission. I need the tail housing for a NP 435 and possibly the tail shaft of a highboy transmission.
Anybody have these parts available or have a contact that might have any or all of what it will take to convert it?

old crew cab. was on a std. cab frame. bobbed bed. body was to big for wheelin, did great but just to much body. i kind of regret scrapping the body was in fantastic shape no rust only a couple dings. i wish i could of swapped the body onto another frame and used it for a daily driver.

78_F150 -- Looks good, I don't see anything wrong, not bad at all. I like the long bed (have two trucks in this configuration, including a 79 crew) but lots of folks like a short bed. yours doesn't look "too" short so I say looks great.

Personally I really like the looks of the super short bed. I bet it helped with maneuvering and fitting in parking spaces etc. While I'd love to do this to my '74 I like the function of the bed too much to do so.

the last time i went wheelin, it accidentally rolled backwards down a hill with nobody in it and it smashed into a bank. it bent the frame pretty bad so i got a new frame, but then decided to go with a new body as well. i ended up just takin the axles motor ect ect out of it and dropped it off at the junkyard. should have kept the cab but i didnt have anywhere to keep it or do anything with it.

Thanks, Lostinfords
It would cost us too much to ship or I would trade with ya. Wyoming to NJ would be a fortune for sure. Still looking locally within a couple hundred miles. Distracted lately with the new FE 418 build but can't wait to install the NP435. Heck I'd even put it in for ya If you were closer.

Thank you. Been at it about 5 years. Theses pics are not it in its current state.
Also it is "Good from far, but far from good"
Rolled on tractor primer, and it is a hunting go out in the brush kinda truck.
