Fuel in south ga is 3.29 a gallon and propane is 2.40 Fuel is a great rip off of the people of the US. Waste products should never be 3.00+ a gal. But until big OtR companies really push it will never come down much. They pay a lot different price than we do for our pick ups. It sucks that fuel goes up so much faster than every thing else in our country . nine years ago fuel was .90 cents what a joke now 3.29 and dont go to a "big" fuel stop they want you to pay 3to 6 cents more to use the big pump and any credit card . piss on fly n j, love, pilot, wilco, AND ALL CITGO find one who dosnt do the add on and help us A L L !!!!!!!! As you can tell fuel makes me angry i buy about 15000.00 per week and it is awful but im lucky unlike most i set fuel charge every day at noon.
It had been 3.10 at the local WallyWorld for a couple of weeks now. I filled up before Daytona and it was not too bad out on I-95....3.20-3.25 depending on where I looked. I got back home and it had jumped to 3.16 at WallyWorld but everywhere else had gone from 3.29 up to 3.43 and as high as 3.54!!
I got some 5 gallon jugs and some 55 gallon barrels and loaded up when it was 3.16 for the last 2 days. This morning I went back and it had jumped to 3.34. Not as bad as some places but it sure sucks.....I got 137 gallons and with the increase today, I paid an average of 3.22 per gallon. What is it doing out there? Not much we can do unless we start brewing our own.....BIO has been 3.60 here for a month and half. I may start running it again if dino goes anywhere close to that once my stash is gone..

This is the most brilliant post in this entire thread. Bush has as much to do with the price of diesel fuel as you do regarding whether my girlfriend has her period next month!!

i do think that had bush negotiated a little better with "the new iraqi government" for some repayment deal instead of we simply give you trillions that we would not be seeing what we're seeing at the pump. i do not subscribe to the blame america first or blame bush for everything theories, BUT i do think he could have done a little better with this foreign policy deal than he seems to have done. and i will have to say that i will be glad to see him retire to the ranch as we started out with parallel views i though but i he deviated along the way, in my opinion. the problem is there is NO ONE in the race right now that i think is a STRONG candidate. McCain just wants to nuke someone, hillary will put anyone in healthcare out of a job not to mention she's a socialist, and Obama simply has no depth to him. Just my .02!!
Who knows where to find out where the money for oil goes? If it is $100.00 a barrel, and it seems to me a barrel of oil is about 40 gallons. So crude is over $2.00 a gallon. Who gets this money, the camel jockeys? So If it is $3.60 out of the nozzle at the pump that has not left much money over for transportation, refining, etc. etc. The big oil companies do not own the Middle Eastern oil, they must buy it from the owners, so they are like any other company that buys raw material and converts it into something consumers need. Is this correct for the most part? I know a lot of the crude cost is gobbled up by speculators on Wall street that buy futures and drive the price up. Very confusing for me.

Very confusing for me as well, it simply seems to my feeble mind that if we were getting "oil for liberation" for repayment, basically for every barrel they pump out of the ground for them they give one to us, that i would imagine we would see a lot less $$ at the pump, seeing as we totally stuck our necks out to rescue them from themselves.
Yeah, but Iraq is not really all that big of an oil producing country. If we were going to take over a country for oil, why not Saudi Arabia? This is as bad as trying to figure out where the damn lottery money goes. For every dollar spent on a ticket the winner does not even get half, and then if it is paid out in installments the winner does not even get what the interest on the money would be. There are lots of fat cats somewhere laughing at all of us.

Are you kidding? Before the war in Iraq libs were crying we were going to go in and steal their oil. If bush would have done that, they would have screamed "see, we told you so", but since we didn't steal any oil they haven't said anything about that anymore.
Honestly, have any of you even hear hilary or obama mention oil or fuel prices? Of course not.... environment and the war is all they talk about.
See what diesel did today? It made me throw up....
