I think this local IGA manager is.I happen to know him personally.If I can go 20 miles down the road to the same station{citgo} and get it for $4.29.Admittidly I don't know nor do I care how they come up with their price.I understand that most is tax,So I may as well include local all the way to federal governments in the price gouging.
I've not bought fuel in a couple of weeks but am going to have to next week when I make my long awaited trek to Jody and Diane's. But the last time I was looking in South Carolina, Citgo commies were 30 cents cheaper than Loves Truck Stops. I made a point of giving Hugo the finger while I drove right on by and went and bought at Loves. Everywhere you go, Citgo is going to be cheaper. I've seen their islands completely empty here in the South East, while right across the street folks that care about America are waiting in line to buy at Shell or BP. Wonder why?

I never once said I bought my fuel there.I just made the observation as I drove by and laughed.As far as the pricing between them,Around here anyway.I have noticed its more of a localized pricing thing going on.IE;all stations in one town will be at$429 and then you drive two towns away and they will be at say$4.49 and so on.Almost like they all have an agreement every morn.OK we will raise 10 cents today but stay within #cents of each other at all times.I dunno maybe I have to much time on my hands.but this one guy is in a league of his own.
The speedway up the road from me, the Manager that is told me it has to do with competition in the area! As to the price set by the company. There is no competition at this particular store!
