Barton springs -COLD?

You come up here for a couple days, then you'll see what you have. Don't get me wrong, it nice here, but not usually clear warm water like that...

We got warm algae water, or cold as hK crystal clear water.

Houston, the oil capital of the world, has prices ranging from 3.88 to 4.09.

Bunny huggers, crunchies, and Al Gore are taking a lot of abuse for this. When its the hedge fund managers and commodity traders that are the ones truely responsible. The governments blind eye towards the falling dollar plays a large role in ths debacle as well.

I'm no fan of the granola eaters but pointing fingers at a pack of smelly hippies is not going to change anything.

Petrobas, in Brazil, recently discovered another large pocket of oil off their coast line. They are rumored to be considering joining forces with OPEC. If we had a leader in office concerned with our nations interests we would be down there negotiating a deal with them for the rights to purchase direct. Instead, we are meeting the pope at the airport and planning a trip to Yankee stadium.

This thread frustrates me. Finger pointing and claiming the president has no affect are both incorrect.

We need a nationalist in office.

I assume everyone else is as sick of this as I am, but the national average is up to 4.14 now. Instead of going up a few 10th's every night it is jumping almost 2 cents at a time. Now this is the average figured from all truck stops in the lower 48. I can still find it for less than 4 bucks in both North and South Carolina. It is getting so bad that even if the government were to stop all tax on it, it is still too expensive to be realistic to what the working man can afford.

Diesel just hit the $4.00 mark for the first time today in Knoxville. At least it's the first i've noticed. It's at $4.05. I know that a lot of you have been putting up with that for a quite a while now. Honestly, I am out of things to say at this point.

Most of this I agree with, but the bottom line is still supply and demand. We have the supply within our borders to take care of us for many years in the future. So, who is stopping US oil companies from getting that oil? Now y'all know what part of the above post I do not agree with.

What is the reason for the huge increase in the price of diesel fuel, but not so much gasoline? We can blame most of gasoline on supply and demand and diesel to a large extent. But, the biggest reason diesel is climbing so quickly is ULSD. What used to be cheaper to refine than gasoline is now more expensive. Why is this? That's simple. It's the global warming scare that so much of America has fallen victim to. I have been in NC now for 9 years, and never has my plumbing frozen on April 16th. How do these freaks explain that simple fact?

Don't you know Mark, that is global warming too! They blame everything on global warming.

Science has proven it over and over. Global warming DOES NOT EXIST. It's called climates change/shift. History has shown massive drought, massive flooding,an ice age, etc...

Then someone like Gore comes along and blames in on "global warming" while anyone with half a brain knows nature has its own regenerative cycle. Have we had any adverse effects on the environment? Maybe. Have you seen any unusual weather lately?

**Rant Over**

Diesel prices SUCK!! Holding steady at $3.999 most places here.

Dave, if you were a female I would e-mail you a huge kiss!! Why can't more American's figure out something as simple as this. I had a call from someone in Northern Wisconsin today crying about the fact that it was 10 above zero there yesterday morning. Yet the head jerk is still keeping his fat head tucked under his wing. Probably the Gulfstream wing, and has been all winter.

Ya i second that. It was a terrible winter! Long and bone chilling temps almost everyday. Relentless snow as well. Global warming is the biggest bunch of BS. If you have ever seen al gores speech/movie on it - look at his graphs. They are set up so it seems that the bars on graph are WAY above the average or past measure. BUT look at the scale or increment on the X and Y axis and its clear that it may be something like comparing 2 months with different temperatures. Hard to explain - but much propaganda. People dont read the entire graph nor does he always present them. Im a c+ math student and i know that

I believe that global warming is happening, I believe that what we are seeing is the effect of global warming, ( ice caps melt, currents change in the ocean, wind direction changes due to different temp of water, ect, ect... ) Yes I believe it. I also believe that our weather is going to get worst because of it.. I know this, because HISTORY repeats itself.. I also know that 1 volcano ( i forget the name, but if you need me to look, i will try later) causes more then 60% of all the Ozone eating gases that all these tree hugging, gore kissing, grass sucking fools are complaining about..By the way, i just looked at empiretc said, and I believe I am saying the same thing as he is.

side note 4.49 a gallon WTF
