Probably put out by that little known office in Albany known as the Department of Creative Taxation. Don't laugh, it actually exsists.

ANOTHER SURPRISE!! Diesel went DOWN again today.. Yes.. Down even more from $ 3.999 to $ 3.899. With Spring officially here and the demand for #2 fuel oil should hopefully start to go down and this allow for diesel production to go up!! The price of crude has also come down so time will tell! Let's just hope.. We still can can't we?? :-)
So much for the slight downwards trend. Went back up overnight. By the way, how's global warming doing in your neck of the woods? It is downright chilly and raining here. About 20 degrees below the 120 year old average for March 29th.

dang co-op keeps bouncing all over the place. they were down to 3.84 from 3.96 for a day or two, then 3.92 and up to 4.02 as of this morning. everywhere else is 3.99 still, although found a station on the south side of town for 3.89. and sadly, this town isn't one of the most expensive places in the state, everywhere is this high.
Dunno what you all biatch and moan about - our only saving grace is that our propane is cheaper than yours!
We would have been paying over $6 a gallon for the last year now most likely...
Probably bought at least 4000 gallons in the last 6 months...
Just get used to it, them camel jockeys need to squeeze us this tight.......don't they?
Hey - maybe we shoulda invaded Saudi instead of Iraq - after all - most of the 9/11 terrorists WERE from Saudi Arabia - and they Do seem to have most of the middle east oil.....
Maybe if we turned Saudi into a glass bowl parking lot as a message to the rest of OPEC - we could then afford to live with reasonable energy prices?.
I for one got sick of the high oil proce a LOoong time ago!
Thats why we have the big red button isn't it - to issue ultimatums to towel headed camel jockeys and have them say yes sir?
About damn time someone pushed one a them big red buttons if ya ask me!
Seems people the world over have forgotten the lessons the mayors of Nagasaki & Hiroshima learned the hard way........maybe it's time a little history revision lesson was handed out..for those in the middle east with memory attention deficit disorder.
I think the outcome of that wouldn't be as pleasant as we'd hope... MAD comes to mind. Although I'm not disagreeing with you one bit!!!
Sure would solve a lot of problems. I'm all for giving a 1 year notice to anyone that does not want to stay get out, cuz we're gonna build a big wall around the USA and no one is coming or going. Unrealistic I know, but it would be nice. We have all we need right here, and if the goofballs like Moveon.org don't like it, they have a year to pack their bags.

My last post has been bothering me. Not really a good idea I suppose, but I'm just in a down mood anyway, must be the weather which sure sucks where I am right now. Although Japan did get away with isolation for a long time and did just fine with it, then they got involved with the world and get the chit kicked out of them.

Light Crude needs to be removed from the commodities market if you want to see prices go down. Investors (including myself) are weary about keeping money in traditional stocks. Many have sold their company stocks and reinvested in commdities (seekin shelter), driving the price of goods higher. You (or anyone) can invest today in light crude deliveries for May. Today crude closed at $102 and change for delivery in May. That means not we're not goint to see much of a break thru then, atleast.
Heating oil demand will drop and that will help close the gap between diesel and gasoline, but as long as we are around $100/barrel we will pay $3 plus per gallon.
The low value of the dollar, the credit crunch (created by selling homes to people that could not afford them), and consumer fear are driving the price of light crude and in turn diesel/gas.
We need a nationist in office to turn the ship around, someone interested in helping our nation regain its might. Government health care, increased taxes, more regulation will increase the spiralling debt and consumer woes. It will make them worse. This inturn will force the dollar lower and in turn send more people seeking the security of commodities (driving prices for goods higher).
We need someone willing to make difficult decisions about our spending policies. Bush's war, the Republicans spending habits, and our (the publics) blind eye have all helped create this mess. Democrats are no better, in fact worse. They want to end the war so they can take the money (borrowed money, which we don't have) and spend it on socialist programs. Once they start, they never end, ie. social security, welfare, ect.
We are selling our children and grandchildren down the river so that we can have anything we want now. Our choices in the upcoming election are left, lefter, leftest. None of the candidates have policies that will resolve the current situation.
We need someone willing to cut programs, stop spending, encourage American company growth (by encentive to buy american in america), and buy back some of the T bills from the Chinese.
So, if you want to do something about fuel prices,(food prices, car prices, etc) strikes and boycotts are the wrong direction. You were granted the right to vote for situations just like this.
Lobbiests, banks, and politicians have created this issue while we ignored them and went about our daily lives. Now it is time to pay.
This nation is facing some tough choices. We can continue to delay decisions, wait to fix problems, pile more debt onto our kids, or we can start making sacrifices.
Unfortunetly at this time we only have the choice of whom will give us the least or the most.
Show me someone willing to start taking programs away. I'll show you the man that will help lower fuel prices.
