The regulation for a wind turbine is emence! I think we need to just require other contries to have the same EPA rules or they can't import to this country! NNAFTA was a joke that Mr. Clinton signed in to law. And why did Bush H. give China permanent Favored nation status with the way they treat their people! also back in the 80's GM wanted the employees in lordstown to have their wages roled back to pre 1970's wages my cousin who worked there told me this and then said they would not lower car prices to match does this tell you what is more important to GM . Also we had where I work a vote on a new contract it was defeted 2 to 1 and the Business agent told us a 6 year contract with little money for pension plan and health and welfare. My biggest concern is the starting wage for the new hire is only 80 cents more then when I started working there 23 years ago. sorry for this but I needed to vent!
By the way no matter how High the price goes I will NOT GIVE Up my Excursion it is the Best vehicle I have owned! I will not do the recall either as they have to keep the claim open untill it is done.

I love the idea of Nuclear fisson to create power. It is safe alternative to using fossil fuels. However, you do have the waste issue. To me the fusion process is extremely interesting. We need to figure out how to do fusion outside of the lab. (The sun creates energy by fusion).
Diesel still 3.39 for No.2 Clear here.
Some energy related facts...
The cost of coal is about $12/ton (Our country is pretty much solely based on it). There is one county in Wyoming (I can't remember which one), but if it was its only country it would 5th in the world for coal production.
One of the reasons why we are so concerned with Mid-East oil is that it only costs $1-2 to produce barrel compared to in the United States where it is in the teens. This is because of the extreme pressures found there. You don't have to pump it out of the ground!
The ANWR has the possibility of 4-19 billion bbls. Most geologic organizations say its closer to 7-8. So if we start drilling there, will it make that much difference when the United States consumes 1-2 billion bbl a day?
I don't think anything is going to change until the price of food starts the increase. The government is going to have to step in a lower this extremely high grain/oil prices before we do go into a major recession.. possibly a depression.

3.469 today in SC, did not need fuel but crammed 11 gallons in anyway, cuz it ain't gonna get any better soon. We have to drill for our own fuel and dump the EPA. It is as simple as that! All those broads from California have to go one way or another. Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstine (sic?) and the other rich greedy simple minded people like them.

Two days ago it was 3.69 when I went to work in the am. When I went to lunch that same day, it was 3.71. Yesterday morning on the way to work it was 3.75 and yesterday afternoon it was at 3.79. Today it is still 3.79, but I imagine it will go up again soon. Oh btw, I live in CA. I hate living here with the high price of everything. Time to move...
I think the EPA needs to invest in some Statistic courses. They always seem to forget key points when proving their information. Perhaps they need to focus on what lurking, confounding variables are. Not to mention the chapter that talks about causation and extrapolation. lol.

I was born and raised in California. When growing up the place was a paradise. My family both paternal and maternal all migrated there in covered wagons in the gold rush days. I have an uncle that was governor of California, Hiram Johnson (google the man) probably the most famous Californian ever. I was smart enough to escape in the '70's. Went to the Super Bowl in Pasadena when Dallas embarrassed Buffalo. I don't care if I ever see the place again! I already have a grave at Golden Gate National with my name and Marine Corps rank on it's there because the Marines buried a son for me there. Am not even sure I want to be buried on the Left Coast anymore.

I am from California also. Born and raised in Vallejo and lived there for 36 years before being asked by my employer to go to Texas to help start up a new manufacturing facility in 1999. I was supposed to stay here a year and then they would move me back. A year came and we decided that we didn't want to go back and we asked if we could stay. Turned out to be a good move as the State of California practically ran our company out and they ended up closing that plant and moving it all here.
I have no desire to go back there either.

Mass, Vt, and Ct have the most expensive fuel in the country. Aren't all 3 of these among the most liberal states in the nation, and have toll roads too? How can anyone explain this rationally? South Carolina has almost the cheapest in the nation and is a conservative state with no toll roads. So those of you that live and vote in the liberal states are getting just what you vote for. Stop and consider that the next time you approach the voting booth.

Just a reality check of who makes what when it comes to royalties. Think all the Government gets is $.24 tax per gallon, think again. Mark your favorite senator from Nutafornia is leading the charge to help lower gas prices. Although she has not publicly commented on what the government will do with the $30 billion to actually help anyone.
