I just bought my truck and have noticed when i back up and turn the rear end will click and act like something is binding up.Im new to the ford and diesel world. It has me a little concerned. Has anybody had this problem? Any help would be great.
Is your truck a 4x4? If so the hubs may be 'locked-in' or not unlocking properly and this will cause it to act like something is binding when turning and backing up. Hope that is all it is, good luck.

ducktalker,
Just because the hubs are in the 'auto' mode doen't mean they are un-locked. Look under the front of your truck just behind both front wheels and you will see the front axle joints, one on the left and one on the right. If your hubs are unlocked you should be able to turn both the left and the right axle joints by hand. Also, with the ignition switch on but the truck not running you should be able to hear the front hubs lock and un-lock when you push the 4x4 button, that is unless you have a vacum leak...
