1956 Ford Chevy Dodge

I am looking for a project pickup truck. I want a 1956 model just for the simple reason I was born that year. I can find all kinds of Ford & Chevy trucks but almost never see a Dodge. In my lowly opinion I like the looks of both Ford & Chevy, but the Dodge looks like something Fred Flintstone would drive. Did F & C outsell Dodge 100:1 or what is the reason for that? Does anybody have any production figures?

I have a 1956 Dodge truck, not THAT bad lookin of a truck.
Dodge felt like a ranch wagon and interior is pratical but not good looking in any way.

One other make to look into would be a International.

1956 Ford to say the least is highly sought after but good luck.

Dodge's always lagged behind in sales. Here's a website or two for Dodges;

1956 was a great year for trucks, The 56 Ford is a timeless beauty. The Chevy bodystyle in 1956 is also one of my favorites. You're right though, the 56 Dodges are a bit funny looking. Don't forget Internationals and Studebakers either
