tranny ?

rebuilt my 7.3 runs great, Put in a new tourqe converter but I think I did somethig wrong.was I to put transmission fluid in it before installing or not and is there any way to put it in all put together? or pull tranny out?

Just put your fluid in the trains. When you run the motor the fluid will makes it way in the torque converter.

RCrawler is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I've always prefilled before installing the torque converter. You can damage the transmission before the TC is full.

ford trans tech is starting off with a positive reputation.
no you cannot damage the trans before the torque converter is full , the hydraulic system is to fill and pressurize the torque converter , it is a regulated pressure and normal hydraulic pressure is available to the valve body as long as there is adequate fluid in the sump for the pump , filling the torque converter prior to installing it is a waste of time and creates a mess to clean up , on any E4OD or 4R100 or 5R110 you can install 10 quarts in the pan before starting the engine then add an additional 4 quarts after starting the engine and then check teh level
