What year is the block?

All I can tell you is to look behind the starter-should be something like C8VE or D0VE. to decode-C=60's, D=70's, C8=1968, D0(zero not O)=1970, as far as I could find out the "V" is for Lincoln and a "T" was for truck, the "E" is for engine-I think! I could only get to my '79 to check and it was marked D9TE-1979 truck block. This applies to heads also-I wanted to know what D0VE-C heads are that are on my truck engine! Hope this helps!
