Air Intake Options on 460 FI

I am looking for a Christmas gift for my dad who is the proud owner of a mid '90s F250 with a 460. He has been looking for some type of an air intake system that would replace the restrictive looking stock stuff all the way to the throttle body on his truck. I have been searching and searching the web in an attempt to locate something like that and I have been coming up empty handed! Can someone tell me where (or if!) I can get my hands on something like this? I know it has to be out there somewhere. Thanks for your help...

Air Intake Options on 460 FI

LAST EDITED ON 03-Dec-00 AT 07:53*PM (EST)[p]Yeah, I already tried their website and they don't have any kind of applications as to what their stuff will fit. I don't really want to just get him a K&N Panel filter that would replace his stock air filter - I am looking for something that has a larger diameter tube into his Throttle body with a conical K&N on the end. I know they make them for about every thing on the road, but I am having some serious trouble locating one for a FI 460! I am sure that one of you guys has to have one on your trucks, so if you could let me know where you got it, I would sure appreciate it!

Thanks again,
Mike

I do believe that K&N has something like what you are looking for. In my opinion, its not worth the $ in overall benifits. I have a 95 F350 with the 460, and it has two HUGE intake hoses, I did, however, cut the "air silencers" out of them. No noticable change in noise or performance. I also run a K&N panel, no gains but Im still using the stock exhaust system. I just like the filter because you can forget about it for 30,000 miles or so. Sorry I cant help more.

I did find a parts store yesterday who said they could get something from K&N that would be like what I wanted. Turns out it was just a conical air filter with to intake hose outlets for like $275 bones! That is ridiculous. I think you are right about it not being worth the money. Thanks for the help...
