ya no joke on the fine, but it's only really if you get your tank dipped...
however, i've had mine dipped once already, only owned my truck for two weeks...

Yep, if you're at the stockyard, you're at "work" so they can.
If they tried walking along at the mall and doing it, they couldn't make a conviction stand.
If it's a personal vehicle, they can't dip your tank. 4th amendment and all that.... it's been through the courts and upheld.
Are you serious? my truck is just that- MY truck... no work, or money made in any relation to it (except a ride to work)
I may be suing CHP soon then...
Because I was Running #2 i dont mind, but if i get caught running Bio, which i will be soon, (maybe while forgetting to pay my road tax) that would be a good loophole. Is the Exhaust Swabbing protected with the fourth?

Some free advice to go along with the free legal advice you are getting here. Free legal advice will cost you a great deal more than what a good lawyer will charge you.
there is always the probable cause clause. if they see you rolling coal that would be enough to dip you for now, it wont be long until offroad diesel is the exact same make-up as on road again...(ulsd)
yes, becasue it is considerd a farm vehicle it can be on the road with it, its considered no different then driving a tractor on the road, but the pick-up must have the farm tags
I was just wondering because I see a lot of trucks around here with the farm plates and always wondered if they were running colour lol I know I would $$$$
