1973 460 with D3VE A2A heads shaved .025 with flat top pistons.
does any one know what compression i'll end up with? the
chambers were 91.4cc befor shaving.

hi Cecil, well i take a stab at it. i'm assuming you just rebuilt this engine. because you said you have flat top pistons. the '73 460 engines i've seen have dished pistons about 19 to 22 cc. dished for the lower compression. using flat top and having the heads shaved that much, i would bet that your in the neighborhood of 9.5:1 to about just under 10.0:1. you didn'y say if you had bored the block. don't for get to compensate for the shaving, your are most deffinitly going to have to use shims under the rockers to bring your lifter pre load back into specs. have a great weekend.
