Just did fuel mileage calculations for 75-80MPH...

So the last couple of runs back and forth form NH to MA, I've used only my front tank. It's almost exactly 100 miles from my door to where I park at school. I used the front tank for that trip only (abour 80 miles on highway, 20 off). Used 17.7 gallons to do 300 miles, 300/17.7=16.9. I'm guessing this isn't too bad considering I was over 70 most of the time, with a constant speed of about 75. The TS chip was on the 75 Horse setting. On the way back up, I was in a rush and it was more like 80 the whole time. How's about 17 for that kind of speed? I have 3.55 BTW

Wow me made someone jealous? I'm usually the one jealous of other folks trucks! Wish that I had a Gear-Vendor Double over drive though.. these rigs could use another gear. No way do I have the $$$ for that.

I gonna go cry now!!! Can't wait to see what this tank shows since I plowed a foot of wet snow for about 3 hours yesterday!

That is some good #s for the speed.
Try this on your way back home.
Test at 60,70 and 80 mph.
See how the ODO compares to the mile markers.

His #s are on winter fuel.
Come summer he will gain a small %

Tj
I installed a truspeed to cal the speedo.
The speedo is like the rest of fords gauges. The its good enough method!
Its a reason why mpg averages are all over the map. Overhead displays (sd) JUNK!

I used the gps with the cc with 60 second mile with mile markers.
This is how i got an average of 60mph. At 60 iam on the money (speedo wise). Above and below it falls off. Just cannot get it to cal acrossed the speedo gauge angle.

Well, I was going to make the pass back to Ma at around 65 or 70 to see what kind of millage I could squeak out of it. BUT the truck has been running so darn good ever since the HPX and FPR shim, it hard to keep the foot out of the GO pedal! On the way back up on sunday I'll TRY and stay out of it. It's just so nice walking by brand new Dura-snacks and Cummings
