which One?

I was just wondering what kind of transmission a 1997 Ford F-250 with a 7.3L powerstroke diesel would have? I know the newer style ford superduty's have theTorqueshift transmissions which are really good, almost as good gm's allision transmission. Anyways do you guys like the newer style transmissions or the old ones? What are the pro's and con's of both?

It has the older style transmission. I have no experiance with the older style tranny, but I do have the torqshift and it's wonderful. No more manual for me in town hooked up to the trailer shifting all the time(having a blast). The tow/haul mode is also wonderful, unlike the older style that just locks out o/d, this one changes shifting patter and it doesn't lock out o/d.
