Does anyone know how much of a press-fit hardened valve seats require? I've done quite a bit of porting on these heads and am going to install CJ valves for a low-buck alternative to aftermarket. I prefer to do the machining myself, but the only thing I can't find much info on is the installation tolerances for the seats. Is this proprietary information?
I also installed bronze guides. Just for arguments' sake, does anyone out there still prefer iron?

We normally use around 5 to 8 thousanths press on hardened seats. I think 2 or three would work ok, but then again I've never had one fall out either. Give em 5-8 with red loctite and you will be fine.

5 to 8 sounds like quite a bit to me. I'm assuming that the seats compress quite a bit during fitting. They're pretty thin for wall thickness. Thanks for the info. Happy trails and happy @#$vy hunting!
